Someone to listen; really listen, without judgement.

If this is you, then I’m so glad you’re here.

Individual Grief & Loss Therapy

These feelings can leave us constantly worried, confused, alone and powerless to move forward.

Sometimes we just need some clarity to help us understand why we are feeling the way we do. We find It difficult to talk about our feelings with our friends or loved ones for fear we are burdening them with our problems or that they may not understand why we are struggling to cope. We do not want them to take our unhappiness personally.

The hardest struggles in life can be the greatest opportunity for change and personal growth.  Being listened to and supported with empathy as your true authentic self in a confidential, non-judgmental environment can provide the perfect space to facilitate this.

Being here means you have already taken the very first step

Well done!

My Approach & Values

I use an integrative approach where I draw on a range of different theories and techniques based on the individual needs of my clients.

I value and use Person Centred therapy primarily as I believe we are all the experts in our own lives and with support we can find the answers within ourselves.

I also utilise CBT techniques to help people whose negative thoughts and behaviours may be contributing to the destructive patterns that are keeping them from moving forward to a place of clarity and a greater sense of wellbeing.

Solution Focused Therapy

Mindfulness Techniques

Heather at Life Wisdom Counselling has helped me to achieve a healthy balance and a sense of peace and wellbeing in my personal and professional life. I have experienced many crossroads and challenges in my career, family life and relationships which often left me feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope. Heather has helped me to look objectively at my situation and given me useful strategies for dealing effectively with anxiety and depression. Her kind nature put me at ease instantly and it was a wonderful feeling to know I had someone to talk to who genuinely cared about how I was feeling She gave me a new perspective on dealing with life. Thank you Heather, for always listening, never judging and showing me that life with all its challenges, is a gift to be enjoyed.

I contacted Heather after a recent relationship breakup and have found her to be insightful and understanding in helping me deal with my feelings of abandonment. Her approach has allowed me to express my feelings in a comfortable environment without judgement where she has taken the time to listen to. me; even if I seem to be ranting. This has enabled me to resolve many of my misgivings over the loss of my partner and come to terms with the situation.
