About Me
Hello! I’m Heather
Registered Counsellor
Hello, my name is Heather Chilcote. Dip (Couns) M.A.C.A
I am the owner of Life Wisdom Counselling, ideally located in the Brightwater Estate in Mountain Creek on the Sunshine Coast Qld.
I am a qualified Counsellor, registered with the Australian Counselling Association. My work is governed by the A.C.A ensuring I adhere to strict ethical guidelines.
I am also required to undergo Ongoing Professional Development and Supervision to provide best practice to my clients.

I was extremely fortunate to have gained practical experience working internationally in Fiji. This was truly a life changing experience! I was humbled to see how those less fortunate, living in remote villages with only the necessities could be so happy. I believe core values, community spirit and gratitude for the smallest of things can be the and key to true happiness
My Approach & Values
I use an integrative approach where I draw on a range of different theories and techniques based on the individual needs of my clients.
I value and use Person Centred therapy primarily as I believe we are all the experts in our own lives and with support we can find the answers within ourselves.
I also utilise CBT techniques to help people whose negative thoughts and behaviours may be contributing to the destructive patterns that are keeping them from moving forward to a place of clarity and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Solution Focused Therapy
Mindfulness.
